If you are like most people, you have insurance policies stuck in a drawer. We have two words for you BAD ENERGY!

Why not make sure your policies are receiving positive chi, or life force? Appropriately positioning them in your home can help. After all, insurance is for disasters. Let's avoid those.

Here we apply some basic principles of feng shui, the ancient Chinese system that brings you into balance with your environment, to create better financial energy.

1. Ask your agent to print your policy on blue paper.
Blue is the color of the "water element" in feng shui, and water represents abundance. Imbue your policies with this symbolic color. And bur sufficient coverage.

2. Stack your auto and home insurance policies in the Southeast corner of your home.
This is known as the wealth corner. If you need to make an insurance claim, you want the right "wealth" flowing into your home. Also, put the policies in a "commanding position" - preferably far from the door and not directly in line with in it. Hiring a public adjuster can also increase your wealth if you have a big claim - they help you get the compensation to which you are entitled.

3. neatly align the corners of your policies.
Clutter is your enemy. Make sure you properly OCD the corners of your paperwork. Do you like to make lists too? Home inventories are handy if your house suffers damage.

4. Place a mirror near your policies.
A mirror will enhance the energies of your insurance. Or you could do it yourself - buying an umbrella policy is an inexpensive way to get loads of extra liability insurance for your home and auto.

5. Never sit with your back to your policies.
This will hinder a food flow of energy between you and your insurance. Let's face it, you probably haven't read your policies in a while. Read them at every renewal time to see what has changed.
